Цього ж року відбулася зустріч із Юрієм Володимировичем Веселовим, який представляв на той час в Одесі міжнародний фонд Луїса Ортеги.

Зі слів, про те, що він знайомий з багатьма одеськими галереями того часу, але хоче працювати тільки з нами, він запропонував співпрацю у презентації творчості великого майстра гравюри.

А те, що Луїс Ортега великий, справді, не можна й посперечатися. Юрію Володимировичу, дав мені дуже багато нових знань у галузі графічної майстерності, за що я йому щиро вдячна.

З цього часу розпочалася підготовка до виставки Луїса Ортеги в Морській галереї, яка планувалася на квітень 1994 року, на момент святкування 1 річниці Морської галереї.

Мені завжди було цікаво, як склалося життя Весєлова і ось завдяки Гуглу я знайшла про нього несподівану інформацію:

Юрій Володимирович Веселов народився 1941 року в Ленінграді. Навчався у Москві в народному університеті історії мистецтв при Державному Музеї образотворчих мистецтв ім. А.С. Пушкіна та у Військовому інституті іноземних мов. Після служби в армії працював науковим співробітником та вченим секретарем в Інституті проблем ринку та економіко-екологічних досліджень Академії наук України в Одесі. До 2016 року Ю.В. Веселов був головою Клубу екслібрису та графіки Одеського будинку вчених. З 2016 року він живе та працює у Вологді. (Все сходиться-це саме він!)

With the words that he was familiar with many Odessa galleries of that time, but wanted to work only with us, he offered cooperation in presenting the work of the great master of engraving.

And the fact that Luis Ortega is great, indeed, cannot be argued. Yuri Vladimirovich gave me a lot of new knowledge in the field of graphic art, for which I am sincerely grateful to him.

From that time, preparations began for the exhibition of Luis Ortega in the Marine Gallery, which was planned for April 1994, at the time of the celebration of the 1st anniversary of the Marine Gallery.

Yuri Vladimirovich Veselov was born in 1941 in Leningrad. He studied in Moscow at the People's University of Art History at the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and at the Military Institute of Foreign Languages. After serving in the army, he worked as a research fellow and academic secretary at the Institute of Market Problems and Economic and Environmental Research of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Odesa. Until 2016, Yuri V. Veselov was the chairman of the Ex-libris and Graphics Club of the Odessa House of Scientists. Since 2016, he has lived and worked in Vologda. (It all fits - it is him!)
