Even before the gallery became a gallery, Valery Paev, at that time the head of the computing center of the Trade Union Resorts, located next door on Morskaya, approached me. He asked me to take his daughter Irina as a student. Valery Ivanovich and I were acquainted in connection with an order that I completed in the building of the center. It was a painting in the Cold Encaustic technique. Unfortunately, the painting has not survived, now villas have been built on this territory). Irochka was a very nice girl, and her father sincerely wanted his daughter to receive not only an education, but also to simply be in pleasant company.

I don’t remember whether it was this year that a plump woman, Valentina, with the appearance of Valentina Tolkunova, appeared in the gallery and asked for a job. Before meeting her, I was confident in that if a person is fat, he must be kind.

But Valentina turned out to be an unusually evil person. At that time I believed, and even now this is the main principle for me in the work of the gallery, that any person who crossed the threshold of the gallery is a welcome and dear guest. And Valentina preferred only those who, in her opinion, could become a client.

I remember, it was a revelation for me how her cheeks shook with anger, how she sat with her back when an elderly woman entered the gallery, who was clearly not a buyer.

Unfortunately, many who worked in the gallery did not understand one thing, that the city is small, people return to the gallery and therefore in no case should you not respect visitors, and even more so deceive them. The lie will come to light sooner or later anyway. Therefore, in the following years, in order to maintain the integrity of the gallery, we have to work ourselves.

Natalia Gorodetskaya became the next gallery employee, although this probably happened in 1993.

For now, she was a client for us, a sailor's wife, who graduated from a construction institute, and as it turned out later, a passionate admirer of the arts. At that time, I personally did not understand her obsessive interest in artists and the gallery, but then everything turned out to be clear. She asked to work for us in our second gallery, the Marine Gallery, which had already opened in 1993. After working in the Marine Gallery, having stolen information about artists and clients, she opened her own gallery. It was done neither beautifully nor honestly. But what can you say - someone also calls this business and competition!

Напевно, варто згадати про тих, хто допомагав у роботі.

Ще до того, як галерея стала галереєю до мене звернувся Валерій Паєв, на той момент керівник обчислювального центру Курортів Профспілок, що знаходився по сусідству на Морській. Він попросив мене взяти в учениці його дочку Ірину. Ми з Валерієм Івановичем були знайомі у зв'язку із замовленням, яке я виконала у будівлі центру. Це був розпис у техніці Холодна Енкаустика. На жаль розпис не зберігся, зараз на цій території збудували вілли. Ірочка була дуже приємною дівчинкою, а тато її щиро хотів, щоб дочка здобула не лише освіту, а й просто перебувала в приємному суспільстві.

Не пам'ятаю, чи цього року у галереї з'явилася повна жінка Валентина із зовнішністю Валентини Толкунової та напросилася на роботу. До зустрічі з нею я була впевнена в тому, що якщо людина повна, вона обов'язково має бути доброю.

 Але Валентина, виявилася на диво злісною особою. В час я вважала, та й зараз це є для мене основним принципом у роботі галереї, що будь-яка людина, що переступила поріг галереї, є бажаним і дорогим гостем. А Валентина віддавала перевагу лише тим, хто на її думку міг стати клієнтом.

Пам'ятаю, для мене було одкровенням те, як у неї тремтіли від злості щоки, як вона сіла спиною, коли до галереї зайшла жінка похилого віку, яка явно не була покупцем.

На жаль, багато хто працював у галереї не розуміли одного, що місто маленьке, у галерею люди повертаються і тому в жодному разі не можна не поважати відвідувачів, а тим більше обманювати їх. Брехня все одно рано чи пізно вийде назовні. Тому в наступні роки, щоб підтримувати доброчесність галереї, нам доводиться працювати самим.

Черговим працівником галереї стала Наталія Городецька, хоча це сталося вже, мабуть, 1993 року.

Поки що для нас вона була клієнтом, дружиною моряка, яка закінчила будівельний інститут, і як виявилося пізніше, пристрасним шанувальником мистецтв. Тоді особисто мені не був незрозумілий її нав'язливий інтерес до художників та галереї, а потім усе виявилося ясним. Вона напросилася до нас на роботу до вже другої галереї - Морської, що вже відкрилася в 1993 році. Попрацювавши в Морській галереї, вкравши інформацію про художників та клієнтів, вона відкрила свою власну галерею. Це було зроблено не красиво та не чесно. Але, що скажеш - це теж хтось називає бізнесом та конкуренцією!
