The art situation in Odesa. 1992

It is also interesting to tell what was happening in the city at that time. Many new galleries opened and even though they have now sunk into oblivion, I think it is worth mentioning them. I remember how Uta once said that it is possible to start talking about a gallery as such only after 3 years have passed. And what happens:

1992. We are trying to make an excursion in time. 

The month of March is spring. Two galleries are located on Langeronovskaya: the salon "Two S" and the gallery "Yug", the affairs of the salon were already uncertain at that time, and the gallery "Yug" tried to be part of the information center. But visitors complain about the closed doors and the lack of a doorbell.

A magnificent place near the Inter Salon "Red Square" - right in the hotel Krasnaya, until recently, the most popular place among artists. During the plant's operation, the entire artistic community of the city gathered here for a cup of coffee. The Viktor Nikiforov Gallery moved from the House of Scientists to the Mayakovsky Cinema, and our plant's gallery still operates on French Boulevard. I also remember that the Serge Gallery operated for several years, following the example of Uyutnaya, and presented, again in the russian Museum, an exhibition called "Painting Laboratory". It is also necessary to mention the Decor salon, which lasted for quite a long time, and its activities were of great benefit to Odesa artists. That same year, the Choven Gallery was opened, and with it the Mamai Creative Association. Many, many years have passed, and none of the above galleries exist anymore. Time goes by and everything changes.

Цікаво розповісти і те, що відбувалося у місті в цей час. Відкрилося багато нових галерей і незважаючи на те, що тепер вони канули в лету, думаю варто про них згадати. Пам'ятаю, якось Ута сказала таку фразу, що починати говорити про галерею, як таку, можна тільки через 3 роки. І що ж виходить:

1992р. Намагаємося здійснити екскурсію у часі. Березень місяць – весна. На Ланжеронівській розташувалися одразу дві галереї: салон «Два С» та галерея «Південь», справи салону вже й на той момент були не визначені, а галерея «Південь» намагалася бути частиною інформаційного центру. Але відвідувачі нарікають на зачинені двері та відсутність дзвінка.

Прекрасне місце в інтерсалону «Червоний квадрат» - прямо в готелі Червона, до останнього часу найпопулярніше місце серед художників. Під час роботи комбінату тут за філіжанкою кави збиралася вся мистецька громадськість міста. За кінотеатру ім. Маяковського перемістилася із Будинку вчених галерея Віктора Никифорова, на Французькому бульварі ще працює галерея нашого комбінату. Ще пам'ятаю, кілька років пропрацювала галерея Серж, яка за прикладом Затишної представила, знову ж таки в Російському музеї виставку під назвою «Лабораторія живопису». Та й обов'язково треба згадати салончик «Декор», який протримався чимало часу, і його діяльність приносила велику користь одеським художникам. Цього ж року було відкрито галерею Човен, а разом із нею творче об'єднання Мамай.

Пройшло багато років, жодної з вище названих галерей більше немає. Час іде і все змінюється.
