Almost all the artists who exhibited their works on Uyutnoy were graduates of OGHU, and many also worked at OPHOK. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, and with it our factory, many artists finally began to do what God gave them, free creativity. Many of them have creative biographies that began in the early nineties. At that time, we - free, having escaped from the control of the state, were left to ourselves.

How to achieve success, how to become popular, how to live—all these questions can only be resolved by time.

Working in the gallery, and organizing exhibitions, I always understood that all this is history, and my task is to convey it. Unfortunately, at that time there were no computers, and there was no experience, therefore, much has not survived. Since then, Radu and I have been trying to restore what is still possible, and if there are any discrepancies in the texts presented, we offer our deepest apologies and hope that everything can still be corrected.

The gallery's activities turned out to be quite successful, we even had a profit in the account, which was used to purchase the most expensive painting in the Union of Artists salon - we bought Anatoly Shopin's painting "Odessa Arcadia", which became the first painting in the gallery's collection. Much later it was sold and is now in a private collection in the USA.

Майже всі художники, які виставляли свої роботи на Уютной, були випускниками ОДХУ, а також багато хто працював у ОПХОЦІ. Після розвалу Радянського Союзу, а разом з ним і нашого комбінату, багато художників почали нарешті займатися тим, чим наділив їх Бог вільною творчістю. У багатьох з них творчі біографії починають відлік з початку дев'яностих. На той час ми – вільні, які вирвалися з-під контролю держави, були надані самим собі.

Як досягти успіху, як стати популярним, як жити – всі ці питання могли бути вирішені лише часом.

Працюючи в галереї, влаштовуючи виставки, я завжди розуміла те, що це історія, і донести її моє завдання. На жаль, на той час не було комп'ютерів, не було досвіду, тому багато чого не збереглося. З тих пір, ми з Раду намагаємося відновити те, що ще можливо, і якщо трапиться так, що у викладених текстах будуть якісь невідповідності, приносимо свої глибокі вибачення і сподіваємось, що все ще підлягає виправленню.

Діяльність галереї виявилася досить успішною, у нас навіть утворився прибуток на рахунку, який був спрямований на придбання найдорожчої картини в салоні Спілки художників – ми купили картину Анатолія Шопіна «Одеська Аркадія», яка стала першою картиною колекції галереї. Набагато пізніше вона була продана і зараз перебуває у приватній колекції у США.
