How much the fact that I am an artist helped me in my work with the gallery. Where all the issues for the rest of the inhabitants of our country had to be resolved with bribes, I managed to resolve them thanks to the products of my creative activity, that is, paintings!

The gallery was not very advantageously located, and only by standing on your head could you attract attention to it.It was too expensive to give official advertising to the press. So, I paid with my own paintings.

Advertising and Modigliani

I remember one very interesting story. It has already happened in the Marine Gallery of the Odesa port. Among the visitors, I met an old acquaintance. We got to talking.

We talked about painting, and exhibitions, and I said that my favorite artist is Amedeo Modigliani. Having learned the story of Nadia Leger, who lived in the Russian hinterland, who learned that such a wonderful artist as Fernand Leger lived in Paris, went there and soon became his wife. I thought to myself that if I had lived at that time, I would certainly have met Modigliani. I really like his painting, his stylizations. And in 1984, I painted my self-portrait, as if he were painting me.

So I tell this man that among Modigliani's works there is one nude, from which I always dreamed of making a copy. And he answers me, and I am the happy owner of a copy of Modigliani by T. Binovskaya! I was very surprised, did I really do this? He told me the story of how he acquired my work. At that time, Vladimir Vladimirovich Vilensky, a journalist who worked for the newspaper SICH (Slava i Chest), used to come to the gallery. Since I had no opportunity to pay for advertising, we agreed that I would give the editorial office a couple of my works. Thus, this copy ended up in the editorial office. It had been hanging there for a long time, although it caused complaints from retirees, the newspaper belonged to a military district. And then they had problems paying salaries to employees, and just at that moment, this man happened to be there. He offered to buy it. The employees received their salaries, and he turned out to be the happy owner! Here I publish all the advertising pages that helped me make my artwork.

Як же мені в роботі з галереєю допомагало те, що я художник, і там де всі питання решті жителів нашої країни потрібно було вирішувати хабарами, мені вдавалося вирішувати завдяки продуктам своєї творчої діяльності, тобто картинам!

Галерея мала не дуже вигідне розташування, і тільки вставши на голову, можна було привернути до неї увагу.

Реклама та Модільяні

Пригадую одну дуже цікаву історію. Сталося це вже у Морській галереї Одеського порту. Серед відвідувачів зустрівся давній знайомий. Ми розмовляли.

Говорили про живопис, про виставки і я сказала, що моїм найулюбленішим художником є ​​Амедео Модільяні. У той час, до галереї заходив Володимир Володимирович Віленський, журналіст, який співпрацював із газетою СІЧ (Слава і честь), оскільки можливості платити за рекламу у мене не було, домовилися, що я подарую редакції пару своїх робіт. Таким чином, у редакції опинилась ця копія. Вона довгий час висіла у них, хоча викликала нарікання відставників, газета мала приналежність до військового округу. І ось у них виникли проблеми із виплатою заробітної плати співробітникам, і саме в той момент там виявилася ця людина. Він запропонував їм купити її. Співробітники отримали зарплату, а він виявився щасливим володарем! Тут я публікую всі рекламні сторінки, які допомогли зробити мої роботи.
